Answer» OK, My computer is an Emachine AMD Sempron processor 3000+ 120GB Hard Drive 512 MB DDR SDRAM GeForce4 graphic card nFORCE 6-audio
I want to upgrade my computer at a resonable price which for me is 200-250$ So does anybody have any good sugestions that would give me a high quality porformance gaming computer. Graphics card is the best option always. But ur CPU is very old/bad and i dont THINK it will let u upgrade very much.
You could maybe buy a 7600 GS, but ur PSU probably wont support that.Well going by the problem you have reported in your other thread (low RAM) then buying some more RAM would seem to be a first step.YA, Ive cam to the conclusion that I should upgrade my RAM. I also think that it probally would just be best to buy a new cpu. So does anyone have any sugestions for a new cpu at an affordible price though. And of course I'll be using the cpu for mainly gaming. The Sempron is either a Socket A or Socket 754 processor If it's Socket A you'll need a new motherboard as you can't get a much better processor for Socket A, and then you'll need new RAM etc If it's Socket 754, see if you can find a Socket 754 Athlon 64, they're not as good as the Socket 939 ones but they're much better than any Sempron and they're good for gamingLet's clarify our terms. Do you mean new CPU as in processor, which is the correct term? Or do you mean new computer in the case, which is incorrect, but what I think you really mean.OK, do you think that my computer would suport the game Lineage 2. Or would it not be ABLE to run the game. I fifure that the graphics will be chopy but the RAM requirements are low on Lineage 2 even below 300mb on the minimum level. Chopy graphics are ok with me because the best games arnt the best because of high quality graphics but because of the story line and so forth.
Take Morowind as an example graphics not that great but excelent story line mainly because of the FREE roam design which made the game boreing at some points but when you get into the hang of the game itself it becomes a world of do what you want type fun. well id SAY more ram deffinately. im gettin a dell which my father can get from work 120 GB hard drive Pentium 4 processor and 1 gig of ram and 1.6 GHz. does any one no if i can upgrade it? but any way id say more ram f
