this is just a POLL on what you think of steam, and discussion on it. personally, i belive steam would be great if it ditched the single SERIAL policy. i mean, why should one family have to buy two copies so my bro and i can play?You can both play on the same computer right? It's an extension of Microsoft's one license per computer to prevent piracy. It's not necessarily to prevent you and your brother, but you and your brother AND your cousin AND your friend down the road AND whomever he gives it to, etc.

They don't want to work for free. Do you?Just like with XP?  I already knew.  Well I remember when Steam FIRST came out with hl2...It was a huge leap in preventing piracy.  It was uber garbage when it first came out.  They just werent prepared for the ammount of people that needed to authenticate their hl2.  Now it seems to work ok.Steam didn't come out with Half life 2, its been AROUND since Counter Strike 1.6,

But the Way They Added the game Buying and DOWNLOADING Feature Was Great, but the Friends list hasn't work Since Counter Strike 1.6 , and that Pisse's me Off, now that they have so much money behind it , don't you think they could get the Simple Stuff workingOh my fault...I never played Counterstrike 1.6  I was more of a Team Fortress Classic junkie.  But yeah I noticed the friends list is a bit crappy.
