Solve : Will my future computer be able to run sims 3 smoothly??

Answer»

Hello, I am making a big investment in buying a new computer, I was just wondering if It could run the sims 3 game, or gta 4.

I am trying to learn more about computer specs but im having trouble finding a good source

Anyways here they are

Chasis : HAF 922

Processor : Intel Core i5 750 2.66GHz (quad core)

Motherboard -EVGA P55M SLI (Intel P55 Chipset)

System Memory : 4GB DDR3 1600MHz Digital Storm Certified Performance Series

Video Card : 1xNVIDIA GeForce 250 1GB (includes PhysX technology)

Cooling - AIR: Stage 1: High Performance Cooler,   Upgrade chassis with LED performance Fans (Blue) (Up to 6 Fans) +59

Other features

Internal Chassis Lighting System (Blue)

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit Edition)

overclock processor between 3.3GHz to 3.9GHz

overclock video card as much as possible with stability

, It also costs me 1200$ , so is it worth it? And can I run most games smoothly?I wouldnt say worth it, You will most definatley run sims 3 on that. and you match GTA IV's minimum requirmentsOverpriced.
A better graphics card at the very least would be a good idea if you're playing GTA4. Quote from: alexriv15 on July 31, 2010, 01:40:25 PM

If you are building, it looks pretty stout. As has been mentioned, The Card is iffy. If you want to save some money, go with the ati 5770 card. It is a good performer. I am running an HD4850 in here at the moment and am thinking of moving to the 5770. I think is Valuable. Quote from: cloudy3 on August 14, 2010, 03:11:17 AM

I´ve no idea,
I also need a new computer, because with my old one (it´s 3years old) it´s not possible to play sims 3 or something LIKE that.
Seems a little expensive.  Where are you from?  Also you will have no problems playing those games, but you won't be able to run gta4 on all highs.Old thread is old.Agree about the graphics card I guess that you buy a PC not just for a year and even now this card doesn't have really good performance so if you have the possibility buy something else. Usually I type graphics cards ratings in Google and it shows the rating, here you can find some models which may replace the one you've chosen. Moreover to enjoy all Sims 3 graphics you need a more powerful card...

i match gta iv's requirements by a long shot, and it still lags like *censored*. Quote from: natalo77 on April 21, 2011, 09:19:37 AM

Sounds like a personal problem. If you want help with it, start your own thread and give some info. Otherwise, can we let this long dead thread remain dead?
