Solve : windows media plyer in internet exlporer orfirefox problem?

i keep on getting a problem whenever i try to view a windows media player stream in internet explorer or FIREFOX. the windoes media player is not showign up properly. the image of how it looks when i try to view a stream is attached. only the section where the PLAY button and volume control is visible everything ELSE is just blank SPACE.
