Answer» Hi
I have AOL broadband connected throught the phone line adsl, with a second computer using wirless AOL. The other day i noticed i couldn't logg on to the internet using the AOL browser on the wirless computer (AOL uses it own browser requiring a password and user name) but for some reason i was ABLE to connect to the internet using internet EXPLORER. This is not possible as AOL requires that you have to sign in using there browser first, so i got to thinking that i must somehow be connected to another computer in my area. Or is it somehow possible that they could be connected to me even though my wirless AOL appears faulty. Is there a way i can DETERMINE that i am connected to some other network. Can you also tell me if SOMEONE is connecting to me could they hack my email...ect or steal anyother information i have.Does anyone have any suggestions.Well, apparently you have a wireless NIC (though we don't know which KIND) and it would seem that you are connected to another network. You can check the network connection in your NIC'S configuration utility. That is probably why you are not now connecting to your AOL.
