Solve : WoW Graphics? |
|
Answer» While PLAYING WoW the graphics are pretty choppy, like it's lagging but it's not the connection. My system consists of AMD XP 2400+, 1GB of memory and the FX5600 128MB graphics card. I was wondering if it's the graphics card dragging it down???Has it always been this way? If not, what has changed?Yeah I would say it's always been that way. It's gotten a little worse over the past few months but that could just be server population. I just wanna be able to play and have it be nice and smooth.Does this occur in just high population areas like cities, or everywhere? I'd say your system should be able to run it fine. Try running on minimum graphics settings and if the problem persists. Quote While playing WoW the graphics are pretty choppy, like it's lagging but it's not the connection. This is a very simple case, so dont worry.. unless it turns out that u need to upgrade. The GAME could be running low because of: -Internet Connection -Computer PERFORMANCE I dont know what u MEAN "lag" but there are 2 possiblities: -Low frame rates (ur PC cant run the game because its too old) -Internet connection isnt fast enough, or server is too full. According to my calculations its ur PC. Your PC isnt strong enough to run WOW on high quality settings, id say not even mid settings. So that means that ur Internet connection is the culprit or the server is laggy, but since uve stated that it has always been, at least moderatly slow then of course it makes sence that its the PC. So what u must do, is turn the display/graphics settings all the way down to their minimum and then try to run the game. If u still get the SAME performance then try and put highten them to the top and come back with results. Also, tell us what ur internet connection is.I played WoW on a similar spec machine without problems, except in high population areas such as cities. But since these areas are safe and don't tend to have any "immediate" danger, it wasn't too much of a problem for me. I haven't played WoW on my NEW computer though (fees too expensive!) |
