Solve : Yahoo! Messenger problem?

Answer»

I'm using Windows XP Pro SP2 and Yahoo! Messenger (8.1.0.421).

Here's my problem... Whenever I'm using my Yahoo! Messenger, a small window appears.

Here are the contents of the small window:

Internet Explorer Script Error - in the TITLE bar

An error has occurred in the script on this page.

Line:     5
Char:    1
Error:    Syntax error
Code:    0
URL:      http://insider.msg.yahoo.com/client_ad.php?p=409640

Have you checked what taht URL is?

Yes. But it's a blank page.Okay read the link I gave and see if it clears things.Did you recently install any  software of hardware on your PC?

Try reinstalling yahoo aswell.Yup. I installed already the YM. But nothing happens. It appears again. My recent application that I installed is Adobe Reader 9.Okay for now you can try to disable these errors by these steps.
    1) Open Internet Explorer
    2) Open the menu
    3) Select the Internet Options> menu item
    4) Open the tab
    5) Check the box next to "Disable script debugging
    6) Remove the check next to "Display a notification about every script error"
    7) Click the button

such errors are usually not really dangerous but to be on the SAFE side you should ALSO post your logs on malware removal forum, just to see if your COMPUTER is clean.Hi, Ivy! Thanks for the guides. When I open the advanced tab, nothing to change, I mean it is already default in my advanced tab. I'll try to repost it on malware removal forum. Thanks again!oh so you already have that as your default setting.

you are welcome.

best of luck
