State function of artery and pulmonary artery |
| Answer» Arteries are the blood vessels that carry blood away from the heart, where it branches into even smaller vessels. Finally, the smallest arteries, called arterioles are further branched into small capillaries, where the exchange of all the nutrients and other waste molecules are carried out.Pulmonary arteries originate from pulmonary trunk towards right ventricle of the human heart and present beneath the aorta. Pulmonary artery consists of two parts. One goes in the right lung and the other towards the left lung. It is the only artery that carries deoxygenated blood from the heart to the lungs. | |
