Answer» Autotrophic is that mode of nutrition in which an organism make their own food by using carbon dioxide and water....Heterotrophic is that mode of nutrition in which an organism depend on others for food Autotrophic is that mode of nutrition in which living beings (generally plants and trees) cook or prepare their food by themselves (for example through the process of photosynthesis ). Whereas in Heterotrophic mode of nutrition living being (specially animals) are dependent on another living beings (plants ) in order to get food .Usually plants are considered as auto trophic in nature and animals are Heterotrophic in nature. But in expectional cases such with Euglena it is considered to be both autotrophic as well as Heterotrophic.
