Answer» It is a colourless ,volatile liquid.Dissolve in water in all proportions Has pungent smell used for making whiskey Reacts with acetic acid to form sweet smelling compound ester Used in medical purpose in cough syrupsIngrident for making alcohol Reacts with sodium to form sodium acetate and releases hydrogen gas On heating in presence of con H2SO4 it forms ethene 1. ♥️ ethanol is liquid at room temperature. 2.? it is also used in medicine suggest cough syrups and many toxin .3 it is also syllable in water. it is a physical property. now I tell you chemical property of ethanol 1. Reaction with sodium for example when sodium react with ethanol it give sodium ethoxide plus release hydrogen gas 2. Reaction with acid for example when ethanol debited into acid it break down into Ethane and give some water . So I wish you like the answer thank you |
