What do u understand by electromagnetic induction? |

Answer» The process of generation of electrical energy using magnetic energy is called electromagnetic induction. Actually, when an armature is rotated in the vicinity of magnetic field it give rise to the electromotive force. The production of electricity from magnetism is known as electromagnetic induction.Electromagnetic\xa0or magnetic\xa0induction\xa0is the production of an electromotive force (i.e., voltage) across an electrical conductor in a changing magnetic field. Michael Faraday is generally credited with the discovery of\xa0induction\xa0in 1831, and James Clerk Maxwell mathematically described it as Faraday\'s law of\xa0induction.Let us move the wire AB upward rapidly between the poles of the horseshoe magnet. When the wire is moved up, there is\xa0deflection in the galvanometer pointer shows a current is produced in the wire AB momentarily which causes the deflection in galvanometer. |
