What does an electric current mean? |
|
Answer» An electric current is an flow of electric charges. Electric charges flows when there is a voltage present across a conductor. In the circuit, this charge is often carried by moving electrons in a wire. They can also be carried by ions in the electrolyte, or both ions and electrons such as in a plasma. The SI unit for measuring electric current is Amphere (A), which is a flow of an electric charge through a surface at a rate of one coulomb per second. It can be measured using Ammeter. The flow of electric charge from infinity to that point in per unit time is known as ELECTRIC CURRENT |
