Answer» A metal is a substance which forms cations by loosing electrons.For ex--> Gold(Au),sodium(Na). Calcium (Ca),Iron(Fe) etc,..The properties of metals are------------->. 1. They are malleable and ductile like aluminum,gold etc,.2. they are good conductors of heat and electricity like copper ,gold etc,.3. they are sonorous.4. they have lusture. Metals are good conductors of heat and are therefore used in cooking utensils such as pots and pans. Metals are good conductors of electricity. Metals have a characteristic shiny appearance .
