What is Corps Callosum and Hypothalamus? |
| Answer» The\xa0hypothalamus\xa0is composed of several different areas and is located at the base of the brain. One important function of the\xa0hypothalamus\xa0is the\xa0control\xa0of body temperature. The\xa0hypothalamus\xa0acts as like a "thermostat" by sensing changes in body temperature and then sending out signals to adjust the temperature.\xa0The absence of the\xa0corpus callosum\xa0seems to\xa0affect\xa0the development of\xa0behavioral\xa0characteristics and cause specific\xa0behavioral\xa0anomalies. Taken together, evidence from previous studies with AgCC patients suggest that social cognitive impairments may relate to the missing\xa0corpus callosum. | |
