Answer» Dobereins arrange elements in the order of increasing atomic masses. He identified some groups having 3 elements each. He called these groups triads. For eg- Li, Na, KWhen elements were arrange in order of incresing atomic masses then the atomic mass of middle element was roughly the averge atomic masses of other 2 elements. When elements are arranged in the order of increasing atomic masses, groups of the three elements (known as traids), having similar chemical properties are obtained .The atomic mass of the middle element of a traid being equal to the arithmetic mean of the atomic masses of the other two elements. |
