It is essential for WARM - BLOODED animals ; because they require more energy, in order to maintain their body temperature, and for various metabollic activities.
Double circulation means mammals have two loops in their body in which blood circulates.One is oxygenated means oxygen rich and other is deoxygenated means it has little to no oxygen but lot of carbon dioxide.
