What is double circulation and why is it neccessary |

Answer» Double circulation implies that the blood in the body enters two times in the heart during one cardiac cycle. At first oxygenated blood enters and further deoxygenated. It is essential for WARM - BLOODED animals ; because they require more energy, in order to maintain their body temperature, and for various metabollic activities. Double circulation means mammals have two loops in their body in which blood circulates.One is oxygenated means oxygen rich and other is deoxygenated means it has little to no oxygen but lot of carbon dioxide. |
