What is double circulatory system? And why it is important |

Answer» It is a type of blood circulation system where blood moving away from the heart is seperated from blood moving towards it. The double circulatory system of blood flow refers to the separate systems of pulmonary circulation and the systemic circulation in amphibians, birds and mammals.All animals with lungs have a double circulatory system. Sp the deoxygenated blood is pumped to the heart in one circuit, whereas the oxygenated blood is pumped to the body in the second circuit.Blood in one circuit has to go through the heart to enter the other circuit.The advantage of a double circulatory system is that blood can be pumped to the rest of the body at a higher pressure. It means blood pumps twice .First: from heart to lungsSecond :from heart to bodyIt is important bcz mammals are constant blood temperature so they require more energy. |
