Answer» Epiglottis is a leaf shaped flapped in the separation of wind pipe and food pipe when food enters in body it will be bend and cover wind pipe same condition occur with food pipe when we are breathing a small thin thing at the back of your tongue that moves to prevent food or drink from entering your lungs when you swallow The epiglottis is a leaf-shaped flap of cartilage located behind the tongue, at the top of the larynx, or voice box. |
