| Answer» The lymphatic system, which is a subset of the circulatory system. The primary function of the lymphatic system is to transport lymph. Lymph is a clear, watery, sometimes yellowish fluid resembles blood plasma. It contains white blood cells and circulates in lymphatic system. It circulates through body tissues and pick up fats, bacteria, certain proteins and other unwanted materials. Lymph plays an important role in the defense mechanism of the body. | |
