Answer» It is the phenomenon of melting under pressure and refreezing when pressure is reduced. Eg: if a thin wire is tied around an ice block and attached to a heavy weight slowly and gradually the wire will pass through the entire block . a phenomenon in which the freezing point of water is lowered by the application of pressure; the melting and refreezing of ice, at constant temperature, caused by varying the pressure. |
