Answer» photosynthesis is a redox reaction inj which carbon dioxide is reduced to glucose and water is oxidised to form molecular oxygen in the presense of light and chlorophyll photo means light and synthesis means putting together so putting together of simple raw materials like co2 and water in the presense of light by chlorophyll is called photosynthesis.
