What is the difference between evolution and speciation |
| Answer» Evolution is defined as evolution of different organisms from one common ancestor. For example, humans and apes evolved from a common ancestor. Organisms are different from each other due to various adaptations accumulated over time, humans evolved to become more intelligent than apes and developed complex languages for communication.Speciation on the other hand, is the diversion of a single organism\'s population into 2 or more genetically different groups. Speciation is caused mainly because of isolation of two groups of the organism\'s population, mostly geographic which leads to reproducive isolation, meaning the two groups stop breeding with each other. | |
