Answer» thank you so much Whereas in mytosis 2n +2n gives 4n. It occurs in asexual reproduction In meiosis the number of chromosomes in the the parent cell gets reduced by half .If 2n comes from male and another 2n from female as as they are diploid cell , the daughter cell will have n from father and n from mother forming again 2n .
