Answer» Appendix is used when our ansestors eat grass and stone then it is used .now appendix is vestigial organ in human body. It has no use. In the base area of colon a small outgrowth is seen called as caecum and it is also called appendix. It acts as storehouse of bacteria. The function of appendix is unknown As per sources and studies made on this. The\xa0appendix\xa0sits in the lower right abdomen. The\xa0function\xa0of the\xa0appendixis unknown. One theory is that the\xa0appendix\xa0acts as a storehouse for good bacteria, “rebooting” the\xa0digestive system\xa0after diarrheal illnesses.
