What is the function of the liver in the digestive system? |

Answer» Liver have gall bladder they consist bile juice which make the acidic medium it goes in small intestine via bile duct Liver generally secrets bile juice, and bile juice here mainly have two functions that is 1)emulsification of fats 2)it provides alkaline medium in small intestine. Liver secrets the bile juice. Bile is alkaline in nature. The function of bile is to break large fat globules into small fat globules The liver secrete bile juice which will make the acidic chyme (food) into basic chyme. The another function is emulsification of fats ,that is breaking of large fat globules into smaller unit. |
