What is the role of small intenstine in dogestion of food

Answer» The small intestine receives the secretion of : liver and pancreas. Liver secrets bile. It is stored in gall bladder ,greenish yellow in colour, help to emulsify or break the fats. Thus bile perform two function ....makes the acidic food alkline , bile salts break the fats . Pancreas is a large gland ,secrets pancreatic juice which contains digestive enzymes...pancreatic amylase(breaks starch) , trypsin( digesat protein) , lipase(break fat).........................................intestinal juice contains enzymes which digest carbohydrates into glucose, proteins into amino acid, and fats into fatty acid and glycerol.. .....the small intestine is the main region for the absorption of digested food .its inner surface have villi which provide a large surface area for rapid absorption..... that\'s it
small intestine is thepart of alimentary canal where complete digestion of food takes place.different intestinel ymes are secreted by small intestine and it also receives the enzymes secreted by pancreas[trypsin, lipase], liver[bile juice] which coverts proteins into amino acids, carbohydrate into glucoseand fat into glycerol.then the digested food is absorbed by the villi present onthe inner surface of small intestine. the outer lining of small intestine has blood vessels which absorbs food.
Small intestine plays an important role in digestion of food. As food is completely digested in small intestine. And the villi of small intestine absorb digested food and pass into blood vessel.
