Villi are hair-like structures present on the inner surface of our intestine. Their function is to absorb nutrients from the food and transport it to all the cells of the body. They have blood vessels present in them that helps them in transportation of the nutrition. Villi in small intestine helps in ansorption of fats, carbs, protein, etc whereas villi in large intestine only absorbs excess water from the leftover matarial of small intestine.
