Which one is true if triangle ABC is congruent to triangle PQR?(a) AB = PQ(b) AB = QR(c) BC = QR(d) ∠A = ∠QThis question was posed to me during a job interview. This intriguing question comes from Triangles Basics in portion Triangles of Mathematics – Class 9

Answer»

Correct answer is (a) AB = PQ

Explanation: ABC \(\leftrightarrow\) PQR means triangles ABC and PQR are congruent to each other and if they are congruent to each other, AB = PQ, BC = QR and AC = PR.

Similarly ∠A = ∠P, ∠B = ∠Q and ∠C = ∠R.

And for VERTICES, A = P, B = Q and C = R.
