While diluting an acid why is it recommended that the acid should be added to water to the acid

Answer» Because acid + water is a highly exothermic reaction so if acid is added to water, water will absorb most heat whereas it will not happen if water is added to acid
It is because when we added acid in water acid ionized faster due to this a large amount bof heat realised which can harm us.
