Why ammeter is connected is not connected in parallel |
|
Answer» Ammeter measure current flowing in a circuit.it has very low resistance. To ensure correct measurements of current in circuit. If it is connected in // across loads then all current will choose lower resistive path I.e ammeter that cause damage to circuit. ammeter is needed to determine the total current flowing through the circuit. if it is connected in parallel then all the current wont flow through it and it cant give actual current reading.. so ammeter is connected always in series.a voltmeter is used to measure the potential diffrence betn two points which may be the two ends of a battery. so the connection of the voltmeter\'s two terminals should be touching the two ends of the battery or any resistance. in order to do so the voltmeter is always connected to the circuit in parallel.. Becoz. In parallel series all appliances experience same p. D. And ammeter measures elctiric current. So I is necessary. |
