Why calcium metals after reaction with water starts floating on its surface |
| Answer» The reaction of calcium with water is not so violent. So the heat released is not sufficent for hydrogen to catch fire. Calcium start floating beacause the bubbles of hydrogen gas that form during reaction stick to the surface of the metal and hence calcium floats on water. | |
