Answer» And they don\'t appear as point sized sources of light but as a cluster of point sized lights as a result the greater refraction in some parts is equalled by less refraction other parts and thus nullifying the twinkling effect. Cause the planets are near than the star to the earth. They are collection of point source of light so atmosphere is not able to create varition in the light coming frm planets Because planets are very near from the Earth , due to this no atmospheric refrection takes place .
