Why does the cord of an electric heater not glow while heating element does? |

Answer» The cord of an heating element have high melting point and it is also made of an alloy which have high melting point The\xa0heating element\xa0of the\xa0heater\xa0is made up of alloy which has very high resistance so when current flows through the\xa0heating element, it becomes too hot and\xa0glows\xa0red. But the resistance of\xa0cord\xa0which is usually of copper or aluminum is very low so it\xa0does not glow. |
