Why does the sun appear white at noon , why not any other instance

Answer» Thanks
At noon, the rays of sunlight have to travel comparitively lesser distance while passing through the earth\'s atmosphere and fall normal to the earth\'s surface. This causes the blue and violet lights to get scattered in a less intense manner along with the red lights. Thus, sun appears white at noon. But, at other instances, the distance increases increasing amount of scattering of blue and violet lights causing lights of longer wavelengths to reach our eyes. So, sun appears white ONLY at noon.
