Why group 17 elements form uninegative anions? |
|
Answer» Good answer Priyanshi It is so because in order to form octet they need to gain one more electron and in this process they exhibit negative charges i.e,uninegative anions. These elements have seven valence electrons. So they accept an electron and become uninegative ions. |
