Answer» Herbivores have longer small intestine because they eat grass , grass contains cellulose which is difficult to digest whereas carnivores eat meat which is easier to digest so they have shorter small intestine Herbivores have longer intestine than carnivores because the digest cellulose which is a very hard material so it takes more time for them to digest the food whereas in carnivores,they digest simple material so they are in no need of having a longer intestine
