Why in unsaturated compounds the first group is ethyne ??? It should be methyne ryt ?? |
|
Answer» It\'s because in unsaturated compounds their is double or triple bond which needs at least two carbon... Therefore the first group is ethene or ethyne If u apply the general formula u will C1H2(1)-2. Thats why it starts with ethyene. Got it. No for alkyne group must be needed 2 carbon atoms |
