Answer» Because the hydrogen gas is released and this gas stick to the calcium and makes it light thus it floats on water Because when we put "Ca" in water ,then it reacts with it and form hydrogen gas .This hydrogen gas in the form of bubbles stick to its surface and hence "Ca" float in water as hydrogen gas is very lighter. Because the density of water is greter than calcium so calcium float in water.
