Why is the small intestine in herbivores larger than in carnivores?

1.	Why is the small intestine in herbivores larger than in carnivores?
Answer» They eat more. Herbivores are grass eating animals. As grass contain cellulose which need more time to get digested. Meat is easier to digest. Hence herbivores has a longer small intestine than carnivores
