Why is the sodium kept immerse in kerosene oil?

1.	Why is the sodium kept immerse in kerosene oil?
Answer» Because sodium react with oxygen so vigorously so that they catch fire. Sodium is a very high reactive metal which can react with atmospheric oxygen and start burning but in kerosene it does not react with atmospheric oxygen.
