Why is there a need of to harness the non-coventional source of energy

1.	Why is there a need of to harness the non-coventional source of energy?
Answer» Because they are present in limited amount on Earth.Also it take a very long time for the formation of these resources like coal and petroleum.So if we continue using them at an alarming rate, they will be lost from the earth one day.
