Answer» Short life span and produce large no of seeds Mendel choose pea plant for studying inheritance because they are self pollinating and because many generations of pea plant can be produced in a comparatively short time span and their study is much simpler than that of animals. Mendel\'s choose pea plant because it has generations more than other plants or humans and it has characteristics. Just suppose, when he research on humans he only saw his two or three generations so he don\'t research on his work. Then he thought pea plant is correct . |
