why sky appears blue not violet? |
|
Answer» Because before the light reaches to the surface of earth, some amount of light like Violet colour light is absorbed by the earth\'s atmosphere..particles present in the atmosphere scatter the shorter wavelength colours like blue. So sky appears to be blue not violet. When light from the sun enters Earth\'s atmosphere, it is scattered, or deflected, by molecules in the atmosphere — primarily nitrogen and oxygen. Shorter wavelengths (blue and violet) are scattered more than longer wavelengths (red and yellow) Because violet colour are scratted out. |
