Answer» The atoms or molecules of the gases present in the atmosphere scatter the sunlight . Wavelength of violet colour is most but our eye is more sensitive to blue colour that\'s why clear sky look blue The molecules of air and other fine particles in the atmosphere have smaller size than the wavelength of visible light. These are more effective in scattering light of shorter wavelengths at the blue end than the light of longer wavelength at the red end. Thus, the blue colour is due to the scattering of sunlight through fine particles in air. |
