Why sodium stored in kerosene oil

Answer» Sodium is avery reactive metal. It reacts with the moisture, oxygen and other gases present in air.So, if sodium metal is kept exposed to air,it will react with the various components of air and get spoiled. So to prevent its reaction with moisture and other gases of air it is stored under kerosene.
Because sodium is most reactive metal and burn in air
Because it is highly reactive matel .when we put it in open it will react with oxygen and catch fire.
