Why the test charge is taken as positive charge?

1.	Why the test charge is taken as positive charge?
Answer» Because the electricity was discovered in 1600 century and electron in 1897 ....so before discovery if electrons current was taken as the flow of only positive charge that is folkiwed till today but it is just for sake of convenience
