Will there be process of photosynthesis if we put vaselin on leaf

Answer» If you\xa0cover the\xa0leaves\xa0of the healthy plant with\xa0vaseline,\xa0it will\xa0block its stomata and therefore\xa0it will\xa0not remain healthy for a long time. This is because the plant\xa0will\xa0not get oxygen for respiration.\xa0it will\xa0not get carbon dioxide for\xa0photosynthesis.\xa0Covering the leaves with Vaseline will close the stomatal opening present on leaf epidermis. Stomata help in gaseous exchange and water evaporation or loss from the leaf surface. Hence two major process of plant survival will be affected, which are:--- Transpiration\xa0( loss of water from leaf surface )-- Photosynthesis / Respiration.Applying Vaseline, in the real-life experiment, it will reduce water loss from the upper surface to moderate and from the lower surface to a minimum ( more stomata is present on lower surface). Gradually the plant will seize its metabolic activity resulting in plant death.\xa0
