Explain transportation in plants... |
|
Answer» Xylem In plants the yransportation of food and water is held by the vascular tissue. Vascular tissue has 2 types: xylem, phloem.Xylem transport the water and minerals from root to the upper part of plants. It takes place only in upper direction. Continue losses of water molecule known as transpiration made a suction. This suction helps in transporting of water to plants in upward direction. Phloem transports the food to plants in upward and downward direction. Sugar(food) prepare in the leaves and loaded in sieve tubes when water is entered into the sieve tubes it push the food goes from high pressure to low pressure to all parts of the plant. |

What will be the colour of copper sulphate when iron is added |
|
Answer» Blue to green When iron is added then copper sulphate will be displaced by iron as iron is more reactive metal tham copper and the colour of solution changes blue into green CuSO4 + Fe → FeSO4 + Cu(Blue) (Green)Iron is more reactive than copper. Hence, it displaces copper from copper sulphate solution and due to formation of FeSO4, the colour of solution changes from blue to green. |

Explain human heart |
| Answer» Structure of Human Heart\tThe heart is a muscular organ covered by a double membrane called pericardium.\tThe pericardial fluid of the pericardium lubricates the heart.\tThe heart is divided into four chambers — two upper atria and two lower ventricles.\tThe inter-atrial septum separates the two atria and the inter-ventricular septum separates the two ventricles.\tThe atrium and the ventricle of each side are separated by the atrioventricular septum.\tSuperior and inferior vena cavae open into the right atrium.\tThe right ventricle opens into the pulmonary artery.\tFour pulmonary veins open into the left atrium.\tThe left ventricle opens into the aorta.\tThe opening between the right atrium and right ventricle is guarded by the tricuspid valve.\tThe opening between the left atrium and left ventricle is guarded by the bicuspid (mitral) valve.\tThe opening of the right ventricle into the pulmonary artery and the opening of the left ventricle into the aorta is guarded by the semilunar valves.Working of Heart\tThe right atrium receives blood from the upper and lower body through the superior vena cava and the inferior vena cava, respectively, and from the heart muscle itself through the coronary sinus. The right atrium is the larger of the two atria, having very thin walls. The right atrium opens into the right ventricle through the right atrioventricular valve(tricuspid), which only allows the blood to flow from the atria into the ventricle, but not in the reverse direction.\tThe right ventricle pumps the blood to the lungs to be reoxygenated.\tThe left atrium receives blood from the lungs via the four pulmonary veins. It is smaller than the right atrium but has thicker walls. The valve between the left atrium and the left ventricle, the left atrioventricular valve(bicuspid), is smaller than the tricuspid. It opens into the left ventricle and again is a one-way valve.\tThe left ventricle pumps the blood throughout the body through the aorta, which\xa0is the\xa0largest artery in the body. The walls of the left ventricle are the thickest among all the chambers. | |

Does resistance of a conductor depends on its resistivity |
|
Answer» Thank you all of you Yes ofcourse resistant is depend upon resistivityBecause resistance is equal to resistivity×length of wire divided by area of cross section. If we increase the resistivity; resistant will ultimately increase Resistance of a coductor depends on its length ,area of cross section ,nature of substance and temperature Resistance of a conductor directly depends upon Length of the wire LInversely depends upon Area of Cross section of the conductor 1/AResistance depends upon resistivity which is a proportionality constant and depends on nature of substance and temperature. |

explanation of dental caries |
| Answer» Dental caries or tooth decay is a kind of infection, mostly caused by bacteria. Bacteria in our mouth feed on the sugar present in food that we eat and produce acids. These acids can dissolve the minerals present in our tooth enamel by a process known as demineralization which can cause destruction of the tooth enamel resulting in dental caries. | |

Tap water conducts electricity whereas filled water does not |
|
Answer» Because tap water contains salts which produces ions whereas distilled water does not contains salts and minerals therefore doesn\'t conduct electricity Cauz tap water has impurities which allow electricity to pass where as disstilled water does not!! because of moving electrons . tap water have moving electrons thats why it conduct electricity and still water doesn\'t have moving electron |

What are the pathways of glucose? |
| Answer» The breakdown of glucose\xa0can be shown by following diagram:In all organisms, a molecule of glucose (6 carbon molecule) is first converted into 2 molecules of pyruvate (3 carbon molecule) in cytoplasm and is termed GLYCOLYSIS.Further breakdown of pyruvate can take any of three pathways:In Yeast: In yeast, breakdown of pyruvate take place in absence of oxygen. Due to this, it is called anaerobic respiration. Pyruvate is broken down into ethanol and carbon dioxide and energy. This process is also named fermentation process. In muscle cells: During strenuous physical activity, the energy demand from muscle cells suddenly increases. This is compensated by anaerobic respiration in muscle cells. In such a situation, pyruvate is broken down into lactic acid and energy. In mitochondria: In this case, breakdown of pyruvate takes place in presence of oxygen. Due to this, it is called aerobic respiration. Pyruvate is broken down into carbon dioxide and water and energy. Aerobic respiration occurs\xa0in\xa0most of the living beings, producing, more ATP as compared to other process of anaerobic respiration. | |

what is osmotic pressure and osmosis pressure? |
| Answer» The pressure required to prevent solvent from passing through a semipermeable membrane from a region of higher concentration of solute to a region of lower concentration of solute is called osmotic pressure. It is also\xa0a measure of the tendency of a solution to gain water by osmosis when separated by a membrane from pure water.Osmosis is a process by which the molecules of a solvent pass from a solution of low concentration to a solution of high concentration through a semi-permeable membrane. It is a passive process and happens without any expenditure of energy. | |

Why does the connecting cord of an electric heater not glow while the heating element does? |
| Answer» The heating element of the heater is made up of alloy which has very high resistance compared to the cord of an electric heater.Since, the heat produced is directly proportional to the resistance,it becomes too hot and glows red due to heating effect of the current. But the resistance of the cord which is usually of copper or aluminium is very low so it does not glow. | |
