While dilution of acids we should add acid in water, not water in acid. Why?

Answer» Tq dear!
Dilution of a concentrated acid is highly exothermic reaction and a lot of heat is generated .Care must be taken while mixing concentrated acid with water. The acid must always be added slowly to water with constant stirring .Water is added to concentrated acid the heat generated may cause the mixture to splash out and cause burns .The glass container may also break due to excessive local heating .
Because the process of mixing the concentrated acid with water is highly exothermic , produces lot of heat. This heat change cab splash acid on our face or clothes and can do severe danage. So the dilution of concentrated acid is always done by adding concentrated acid to water gradually with stirring.

What difference between v and I please

Answer» \t1DefinitionVoltage, also called as electromotive force is simply the energy per unit charge. In other words, voltage is the difference in electric potential between two points.Current is just the rate of flow of electric charge. In simple words, current is the rate at which electric charge flows in a circuit at a particular point.2UnitThe SI unit of voltage is Volts (V).\xa0Note: 1 Volt= 1 Joule/coulomb.The SI unit of current is Ampere (A).\xa0Note: 1 Ampere = 1 coulomb/second.3DenotationVoltage is denoted by “V”.Current is denoted by “I”.4Measuring InstrumentVoltage can be measured by using a Voltmeter.Current can be measured by using an Ammeter.5Inter-relationVoltage is the cause of the current.Current is the effect of the voltage i.e. current cannot flow without voltage.6FormulaOne of the formulas to calculate voltage is:V= Work done/ChargeOne of the formulas to calculate current is:I= Charge/ Time7LossLoss of voltage occurs due to impedance.Loss of current occurs due to the passive elements.8Field CreatedVoltage creates an electrostatic field.Current creates a magnetic field.9Change in a Series ConnectionIn a series connection, voltage changes i.e. it gets distributed over all the components. In a series connection, the current remains same through all the components.10Change in a Parallel ConnectionIn a parallel connection, the voltage remains same across all the components. In a parallel connection, current changes i.e. it gets distributed over all components.\t

Why soaps and detergents do not work with hard water.

Answer» Soaps forms come with hard water because of the reaction of soap with the calcium and magnesium salt which cause the hardness of water. Whereas the charged ends of detergents do not form insoluble precipitates with the calcium and magnesium ions in hard water. Thus, they are more effective in hard water.\xa0

How a rain drop looks like means about its shape

Answer» Hi yogi.. you are right but water drops are flat from its bottom due to its speed, heigh air pressure at its bottom it is flat
The particles on the surface of a liquid drop has maximum potential energy. The more the surface area, more are the particles on the surface and more is the potential energy. As a rule, any body tends to be as stable as possible. The body having more potential energy is more unstable. For a given volume, a sphere has minimum surface area. Hence, drops acquire spherical shape to acquire minimum potential energy and more stability.

Explain photosynthesis process

Answer» ★ The process by which plant prepare food (carbohydrates) from inorganic raw materials like carbon dioxide (CO2) and water in (H2O) in presence of sunlight and chlorophyll is called photosynthesis. The photosynthesis occurs in 2 phases:●Light Reaction: It needs light that is absorbed by chlorophyll molecules to split water (H2O) molecules into hydrogen and oxygen. The ATP is produced during it. ●Dark reaction: This does not need light energy. It takes place in stroma of the chloroplasts. The ATP and NADPH2 formed during light reaction are utilised and CO2 is reduced to synthesize carbohydrates.◆Four factors affect the rate of Photosynthesis, they are: ●Sunlight: It provides energy needed for preparation of food by plants. In absence of sunlight, the photosynthesis does not occur.●Carbon dioxide: C09 acts as substrate for photosynthesis , carbon dioxide and water are converted into carbohydrates.●Water: During photosynthesis, the water is photolysed into oxygen and hydrogen. This provides energy for photosynthesis.●Chlorophyll: The chlorophyll is green pigment. It occurs in leaves that absorbs sunlight.
For ex :- Desert plants take up carbon dioxide at night and prepare an intermediate which is acted upon by the energy absorbed by the choloryphyll during the day.
3 events occur during this process :--(1) Absorption of light energy by chlorophyll. (2) Conversion of light energy to chemical energy and splitting of water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen. (3) Reduction of carbon dioxide to carbohydrates .

Difference between somtic and genetic variation s

Answer» Somatic variation pertains to diversity in the plant body or any non-germinal cell, tissue, structure or process. Somatic diversity is ultimately genetic, it is the product of differential genetic expression due to differential penetrance and expressivity of plant genes.Genetic variation is the difference in DNA sequences between individuals within a population. Variation occurs in germ cells i.e. sperm and egg, and also in somatic (all other) cells. Only variation that arises in germ cells can be inherited from one individual to another and so affect population dynamics, and ultimately evolution.

60749.

Why metal oxides are basic in nature??

Answer» Metallic oxides are basic in nature because they react with dilute acids to form salt and water. They also react with water to form metal hydroxides which are alkaline in nature because these metal hydroxides release OH- ions in solution. On the other hand, if you look at non metallic oxides, they react with water to form acidic solutions which liberate H+ ions in solution. Therefore, non metallic oxides would be acidic in nature. This can also be proven by the litmus paper test where metal oxides when reacting with water will form strong bases and turn red litmus paper to blue. On the other hand, non metal oxides reacting with water will form strong acids that turn blue litmus paper to red.\xa0
Because they react with dilute acid to form Salt and water.
