What is monozygotic? |
|
Answer» monozygotic ("identical"), meaning that they develop from one zygote, which splits and forms two embryos, or dizygotic ("fraternal"), meaning that each twin develops from a separate egg and each egg is fertilized by its own sperm cell. Monozygotic twins result from the fertilization of one egg and one sperm. The fertilized embryo then splits within days after fertilization resulting in two individuals which usually share the same chromosomes. Monozygotic twins are also known as identical or maternal twins. Mostly they have very similar appearances. |

Explain the following terms with one example each ..A. Corrosion B.Rancidity |
|
Answer» It is a process in which metal react with substance present in atmosphere to form surface compound . Corrosion of iron is caled rusting. Rancidity- the process in which food get spoil due to oxidation specially during summer season is called rancidity Corrosion:\xa0It is the process in which metals are slowly eaten up by the action of air moisture or chemicals. For example rusting is a form of corrosion in which iron is eaten up by the action of air and moisture and a reddish brown coating of iron oxide is formed as shown in the following chemical reaction.2 Fe + 2 H2O → Fe2O3 + 3H2Rancidity:\xa0When the substance containing oils and fats are exposed to air they get oxidised and become rancid due to which their smell, taste and colour change. This process is known as rancidity. For example when a when butter is kept open for a long time then its smell and taste gets changed. Corrosion means eating away of metal by tha action of wind air water whereas rancidity is tha deteoritation of fatty and oily food |

Please explain mendel\'s experiment |
|
Answer» Mendel in his experiment mendels took pea plant such as tall and short plant. In the first place all plant were tall in f1 progency Thanksbhai Gregor Mendel developed the model of heredity that now bears his name by experiments on various charactersitics of pea plants: height (tall vs. Short); seed color (yellow vs. Green); seat coat (smooth vs. wrinkled), etc. The following explanation uses the tall/short trait. The other traits Mendel studied can be substituted for tall and short. Mendel started out with plants that "bred true". That is, when tall plants were self-pollinated (or cross-pollinated with others like them), plants in following generations were all tall; when the short plants were self-pollinated (or cross- pollinated with others like them) the plants in following generations were all short.Mendel found that if true breeding Tall [T] plants are crossed (bred) with true breeding short [t] plants, all the next generation of plants, called F1, are all tall.Next, he showed that self-pollinated F1 plants (or cross- pollinated with other F1 plants) produce an F2 generation with 3/4 of the plants tall and 1/4 short.A. 1/4 of the F2 generation are short plants, which produce only short plants in the F3 generation, if they are self- pollinated (or crossed with other short F2 plants;) these F2 plants breed true.B, 1/4 of the F2 generation (1/3 of the tall plants) are tall plants that produce only tall plants in the F3 generation, if they are self-pollinated; these tall F2 plants breed true.C. 1/2 of the F2 generation (2/3 of the tall plants) are tall plants that produce 1/4 short plants and 3/4 tall plants in the next [F3] generation, if they are self-pollinated. This is the same proportion of tall to short that F1 plants produce. |

Nobal gas |
| Answer» Noble gases are sometimes called inert gases, and they are the elements in Group 18 of the periodic table. They comprise the elements helium, neon, argon, krypton, xenon, and radioactive radon, which has no known stable isotopes.\xa0These gases are found as single atoms as they do not like to interact with other atoms on the periodic table, hence the name inert. Their outer-most electrons shells (valence shells) are completely full with eight electrons (save helium with two), which defines the chemistry of these elements.\xa0There are six noble gases:\tHelium (He)\tNeon (Ne)\tArgon (Ar)\tKrypton (Kr)\tXenon (Xe)\tRadon (Ra)\xa0 | |

What is light ? And how it forms |
| Answer» The branch of physics dealing with the properties and behaviour of light is called optics. Light is a form of energy which helps us to see the objects. Have you ever wondered why we are able to see different objects around us and their images in a mirror or in a pond? This is simply due to reflection of light. It is the phenomenon of bouncing back of light after striking a smooth polished surface. | |
| 65632. |
What is kaleidoscope ? Explain its functions. |
| Answer» A kaleidoscope works by reflecting light that bumps into a reflective surface such as a mirror. It has two or more mirrors placed at an angle to each other. The mirror assembly is surrounded by a case, with an eye hole at one end of the mirrors and a collection of objects at the other end. From The body of the kaleidoscope has two main parts, the viewing tube (with an at one end) and the object box or case at the opposite end of the tube. The object box is a thin, flat box made of two glass disks and a band circling the edges and holding the disks and the objects enclosed. | |

Functions of Nephron |
|
Answer» Perfect answer for writing in board 1. Filtration: Filtration of blood takes place in Bowman’s capsule from the capillaries of glomerulus. The filtrate passes into the tubular part of the nephron. This filtrate contains glucose, amino acids, urea, uric acid, salts and a major amount of water.2. Re-absorption: As the filtrate flows along the tubule useful substances such as glucose, amino acids, salts and water are selectively re-absorbed into the blood by capillaries surrounding the nephron tubule. The amount of water re-absorbed depends on the need of the body and also on the amount of wastes to be excreted.3. Urine: The filtrate which remains after re-absorption is called urine. Urine contains dissolved nitrogenous waste, i.e. urea and uric acid, excess salts and water. Urine is collected from nephrons by the collecting duct to carry it to the ureter. Functioning of a nephron:→ The blood enters the kidney through the renal artery, which branches into many capillaries associated with glomerulus.→ The water and solute are transferred to the nephron at Bowman\'s capsule.→ In the proximal tubule, some substances such as amino acids, glucose, and salts are selectively reabsorbed and unwanted molecules are added in the urine.→ The filtrate then moves down into the loop of Henle, where more water is absorbed.→ From here, the filtrate moves upwards into the distal tubule and finally to the collecting duct. Collecting duct collects urine from many nephrons.→ The urine formed in each kidney enters a long tube called ureter. From ureter, it gets transported to the urinary bladder and then into the urethra. A nephron is the basic unit of structure in the kidney. A nephron is used separate to water, ions and small molecules from the blood, filter out wastes and toxins, and return needed molecules to the blood. The nephron functions through ultrafiltration. Ultrafiltration occurs when blood pressure forces water and other small molecules through tiny gaps in capillary walls. This substance, lacking the blood cells and large molecules in the bloodstream, is known as an ultrafiltrate. The ultrafiltrate travels through the various loops of the nephron, where water and important molecules are removed, and into a collecting duct which drains into the bladder. Hope it will help☺️ The main function of nephron is formation of urine |

Why are binary fission and budding include in asexual reproduction? |
| Answer» They are termed as asexual reproduction because a new individual is produced just by a single parent. In sexual reproduction a new individual is produced by the fusion of male and female gametes. But in budding ,the organism such as the Hydra has a small outgrowth in its body which is the bud and this bud detaches from it after sometime. This is the new individual. And in binary fission the organism such as amoeba simply divides into two. Thus we call it asexual reproduction | |

What is 1 volt, 1amper, 1ohm, ? |
|
Answer» The ohm is the SI derived unit of electrical resistance, named after German physicist Georg Simon Ohm. The ampere, often shortened to "amp", is the base unit of electric current in the International System of Units. It is named after André-Marie Ampère, French mathematician and physicist, considered the father of electrodynamics. The volt is the derived unit for electric potential, electric potential difference, and electromotive force. It is named after the Italian physicist Alessandro Volta. |
